Take complete control of your crop health with the Bluelab pH Pen. Trusted by commercial growers and hobbyists alike, this lab-quality instruments provides fast, accurate, and temperature-compensated readings of your liquid nutrient solutions.
Whether you manage a sophisticated hydroponics setup, a backyard greenhouse, or a home aquarium, maintaining the perfect pH level is critical for nutrient uptake. The Bluelab pH Pen ensures your plants never miss out on vital minerals due to acidic or alkaline imbalances.

Key Features
  • Dual-Purpose Readings: Measures both pH (acidity/alkalinity) and temperature (°C or °F) simultaneously.
  • Fully Waterproof: Engineered to float if accidentally dropped straight into your reservoir or nutrient tank.
  • Double-Junction Probe: Built with a robust, non-refillable gel probe that resists clogging for a longer operational lifespan.
  • Backlit LCD Screen: Features a bright, easy-to-read digital display for low-light grow room environments.
  • Successful Calibration Indicator: Displays a checkmark on screen to confirm a accurate calibration.
  • Auto-Off Function: Shuts down automatically after 4 minutes of inactivity to preserve your battery life.

Why Precision pH Matters
Plants can only absorb specific nutrients within a tight pH window—typically 5.5 to 6.5 for most hydroponic setups.
When your pH levels drift too high or too low, your root systems suffer from "nutrient lockout." This means your plants cannot physically absorb the food available to them, leading to stunted growth, yellowing leaves, and reduced yields. The Bluelab pH Pen eliminates the guesswork of paper test strips or cheap drop kits, giving you digital precision down to 0.1 pH.

Care, Cleaning, and Maintenance
To keep your Bluelab pH Pen performing at its best for years, follow these essential care rules:
1. Keep the Probe Wet
  • Glass pH probes must never dry out.
  • Always store the pen with a few drops of Bluelab KCl Storage Solution inside the protective storage cap.
  • Never store the probe in RO (Reverse Osmosis), distilled, or deionised water, as this damages the internal chemistry.
2. Clean Monthly
  • Debris and nutrient salts build up on the glass bulb over time.
  • Clean the probe tip gently using a soft toothbrush and Bluelab pH Probe Cleaner or a mild liquid dish soap.
3. Calibrate Regularly
  • Calibrate the pen at least once every 30 days.
  • Use fresh Bluelab pH 7.0 and pH 4.0 calibration solutions.
  • A built-in indicator on the screen will tell you when a re-calibration is due or successfully completed.
